Teak Daniel

Clinical Counsellor

Teak completed his Bachelor of Social Work at the University of Calgary (U of C) and a Masters in Social Work from York University in Toronto, Ontario. He is passionate about supporting those who have experienced difficulties in their mental health and has worked exclusively as a mental health clinician in both hospital and community-based clinics since 2005. 

Since moving to Vancouver in 2010, Teak has served as a practicum supervisor and mentor to 15 Masters of Social Work students from the University of British Columbia (UBC) and continues to educate health care professionals in the area of mental health through his role with a Provincial Health Authority. 

Teak’s primary therapeutic modalities include Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Ecological Systems Theory, Solutions Focused Brief Therapy, and Narrative Therapy approaches. 

Aside from working, Teak enjoys traveling and spending time with friends and family.
